Accommodation

Methods School participants have the opportunity to stay in the National University of Singapore's UTown (guide, pictures) for the duration of the Methods School. You can choose between two accommodation options (pictures):

  1. Single room in one of the UTown Residential Colleges:

    • Bedroom with single bed, wardrobe, bookshelf, study table, ceiling fan.

    • Shared bathrooms.

  2. 1-bedroom apartment in the UTown Residence:

    • Bedroom with queen-sized bed, built-in wardrobe, drawers, study table, ceiling fan.

    • Private kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove), living room, and bathroom.

Bedding is provided, but participants need to bring their own towels and toiletries. There are LAN points in the bedrooms, and WiFi-access is available in the communal areas. All campus residences come with a basic kitchen and have laundry rooms equipped with washers and dryers. The Methods School venues are within easy walking distance.

Staying Off Campus

Staying on campus should be much more convenient and affordable than most off-campus accommodation options. However, if you prefer to live off campus, lists compiled by the NUS Office of Student Affairs (list 1, list 2) may provide you with some helpful leads. In addition, there are many non-NUS affiliated websites, such as Agoda, Asia Rooms, HostelWorld, AirBnB, Craigslist, and Property Guru, that might be useful to Methods School participants interested in off-campus accommodation.

Please note that the Methods School does not endorse, guarantee, warrant, or recommend any information or necessarily subscribe to any opinions or recommendations provided on these lists or websites.
